Staging Food Photography

August 2nd meeting was about staging for photography.  Whether it is food,  or just something you want to take an amazing photo of.  We talked about adding things to the photo to tell a story.   A Lamington looks good on it’s own but if you add the coconut or other ingredients that made that Lamington to the photo it tells a bigger story.  Just like an old camera,  adding old books or vintage items shows the year that this camera was around in.  Our members had fun and there was so much helping and advice going around.  Especially tricks to add better lighting when you aren’t around natural light from a window.  Everyone took turns holding lights,  or reflectors and encouraging to give anything a go.   Very good workshop by all.
