It’s a cruel fact of nature that the best time to photography many night subjects is also the best time to drink wine; or snuggle in by the fire and drink a cuppa. Which is what most of the 10 members that braved the minus 4 Tuesday night practical and tutorial meeting wanted to do. We started off in the warmth of the building learning some tricks to use when we braved the cold evening of downtown Parkes Some of the key tricks: tripod, slow shutter speeds and play with your aperture and camera iso.
With some inspiration under our belts we journeyed down Clarinda Street with cameras and tripods in hand to see what caught our eyes.
Two weeks later the club got together to see our results practicing these new skills on our own.
Here is our winners:
Beginner Winner – Dominic Reilly
Intermediate Winner – Jackie Charlton
Advanced Winner – Joanne Strom
