Great news, our little club of around 25 members won the Western Districts Association of Camera Clubs (WDACC) Interclub competition!
The Interclub competition saw entries from the Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo, Hay, Narromine, Narrandera and Parkes camera clubs. Each club submits a total of ten entries with a maximum of three entries from one individual person. These images are then judged and given a score out of fifteen, which are tallied towards the club total.
In the lead up to the Interclub competition the club committee put together a selection of over 40 images from the recent competitions to take to the club for critiquing. During this meeting we voted on images we liked and thought should be included, the top 20 images from this vote were then sent to an independent judge for review.
Here are our entries along with the scores given by the judge.
Karen Cox – Score 12
Marc Payne – Score 10
Steve Ostini – Score 12
Tim Ruckley – Score 11.25
Overall we finished up with 112.5 points, just ahead of Hay who came second on 105.5 points and Bathurst who came third with 104.25 points. Congratulations also goes to the club members who entered the individual competition, we placed well with a first, second, third and a few highly commended awards, mostly in the novice section.
